Install the Plugin

Prerequisite — WPSSO User Locale Selector (WPSSO UL) is an extension for the WordPress Social Sharing Optimization (WPSSO) plugin. To install and activate the WPSSO RAR extension, the WordPress Social Sharing Optimization (WPSSO) plugin must already be installed and active.

Automated Install

  1. Go to the admin section of your WordPress site.
  2. Select the SSO menu item.
  3. Select the Extension Plugins and Pro Licenses sub-menu item.
  4. Scroll down and locate the “WPSSO User Locale Selector (WPSSO UL)” extension.
  5. Click the Plugin Details and Install link.
    • If the link is named Plugin Details instead (no “Install” in the name) then the extension is already installed and you can simply activate the extension from the WordPress Plugins page.
  6. After clicking the Plugin Details and Install link, click the Install Now button in the overlay window.
  7. Click the Activate Plugin button when WordPress is done installing the plugin.
  8. You can find the WPSSO UL settings under the User Locale sub-menu.

Semi-Automated Install

If the WPSSO UL extension installed, you will have to remove it first before you can re-install it using this procedure.

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file (save the archive as a ZIP file, do not extract its contents).
  2. Go to the admin section of your WordPress site.
  3. Select the Plugins menu item.
  4. Select the Add New sub-menu item.
  5. Click on Upload button (just next to the Install Plugins page title).
  6. Click the Browse… button.
  7. Navigate your local folders and select the ZIP file you saved previously.
  8. Click on the Install Now button.
  9. Click the Activate Plugin button.
  10. You can find the WPSSO UL settings under the User Locale sub-menu.

Manual Install

  1. Download the plugin ZIP and unzip (extract) the archive file contents.
  2. Upload the entire wpsso-user-locale/ folder to your website’s wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  3. Go to the admin section of your WordPress site.
  4. Select the Plugins menu item.
  5. Select the Installed Plugins sub-menu.
  6. Scroll down to the “WPSSO User Locale Selector (WPSSO UL)” plugin, and click its Activate link.
  7. You can find the WPSSO UL settings under the User Locale sub-menu.
